A Cozy Halloween Shopping Mission at Park Royal

I love each of the Season changes, but I love Fall the most. Crisp air, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, leaves changing colour and cozy knitwear. So much knitwear! And there’s no better place to revel in all things Fall than Park Royal.

Clad in the most adorable cable knits and corduroy from GAP Kids latest collection to get us in the spirit, my boys accompanied me on a Fall shopping mission to Park Royal. I fell in love with a cardigan from Oak + Fort’s new arrivals that has quickly become a new favourite wardrobe staple. Coupled with a pair of knee-high boots from SAKS OFF 5TH, I was in the perfect Fall ensemble.

But first, coffee; seasonal coffee, that is! Delany’s in the Village at Park Royal is currently serving up beautifully crafted Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Pumpkin Spice Loaf. And because you can never have enough pumpkin in October, we also indulged in one of their darling pumpkin shaped sugar cookies – we were fully committed to our cause! There’s just something so irresistibly cozy about strolling alongside loved ones on a Fall day with a latte in hand.

My 3-year-old Aspen started preschool this year so we set out to find a fun craft we could work on together and bring as Halloween treats to his class. No one does treats better than Lindt! Visiting the Lindt store feels like what I imagine it would feel like to star in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There is literally chocolate flowing from a fountain and truffles everywhere in pristinely topped bins with boxes of chocolate from floor to ceiling. We loaded our chic gold shopping tote with their super cute and equally delicious Jack-o-Lantern and Ghost Lindor truffles for our Halloween class treats, and I just couldn’t resist some of their beautifully packaged chocolates.

Armed with Pinterest inspiration and our spooky Lindt truffles we marched into Michaels in search of some googly eyes and mummification supplies. Earlier, we made a trip to City Market in Park Royal North for some apple sauce snack pouches and apple juice boxes that we’re going dress up in their own little mummy costumes! Walking into Michaels you realize the crafting possibilities are endless and we enjoyed our time exploring and getting creative! We found some great faux pumpkins to adorn our mantle. They are conveniently toddler-proof (read: they don’t smash when you drop them!).

A final stop into HomeSense completed our quest to truly welcome Fall into our home. There are so many great décor items at HomeSense right now, and with such great prices you can be sure you’ll find what you’re looking for on any budget. If the boys had their way our neighbours may start to confuse our home for a local haunted house! So, we worked together to select spooky yet stylish decorations like an adorable knit Halloween mice garland and some new Fall mugs because, well, there can just never be too much coffee in our house.

Wishing you all a very safe, cozy and Happy Halloween!
