Family Day at Park Royal

Family Day is around the corner! I love Family Day as this is an entirely new Holiday to me coming from the States – and of course there are no shortage of ways to spend Family Day at Park Royal that are fun for the whole family.

I have learned that when you are outnumbered by boys; food, food and more food is always a great game-plan! We had such a great experience checking out Blaze Pizza in Park Royal North and I highly recommend this as a family-friendly stop next time you visit the shopping centre. Not only do they make their pizza crust fresh in-house, but I was impressed to find that they have options for nearly every kind of diet such as a Keto crust! Our pizza, salad and drinks at Blaze were delicious and enjoyed by everyone, down to our tiniest little eater. We’ll be back!

I love the diversity of businesses at Park Royal. Scholars, in particular, is in such a great location at Park Royal as parents can shop or enjoy some alone time at one of the many great coffee shops in the shopping centre while their child is tutored by this nurturing and highly engaged team – moms & dads everywhere rejoice! We stopped into Scholars to learn more about their Reading Readiness program, which is a hands-on introduction to the fundamental skills necessary to become a successful reader. This is a wonderful FREE assessment that Scholars offers where specific skills are determined to define a base level from which to build, for students of any age and learning background and most importantly, Aspen really enjoyed it!

And you can’t make a visit to Park Royal with two boys without stopping into Sport Chek, as I have learned. The mecca for an active lifestyle, my husband and 3-year-old quickly got to work perfecting their hockey skills while baby and I shopped for toques and runners.

But finally, the time had come to hit the movies. We love Park Royal’s Cineplex Cinemas & VIP (for nights when we are sans kids as the VIP is 19+), but then again what’s not to love about popcorn, movies on a big screen and an arcade. With a hard decision to make between titles Dolittle and Jumanji: The Next Level, we finally agree on Dolittle and headed into our recliner seats like a crazy, wild bunch.

If bedtime hadn’t come so soon, we could have spent much more time taking in all that Park Royal has to offer. There are endless ways to enjoy Park Royal with your family or loved ones this Family Day, and I wish you a wonderful day of making memories with those you love most!

xo.
